"A rare thing: a small studio that can actually deliver at scale without the catalogue going stale."FORM Quarterly · Design review, 2026
Objects for a slower everyday.
Nordhavn is a design studio and manufacturer of small-batch homewares in oak, stoneware and European linen. We design in Copenhagen, produce with six family-run workshops, and sell direct and through 120 stockists in 38 markets.
Three materials, thirty pieces
A deliberately small catalogue. Every piece is made to be used daily, repaired rather than replaced, and kept for decades.

Linen & wool
Stonewashed European flax woven on shuttle looms in northern Portugal — throws, cushions and table linen that soften with every wash.

Stoneware
Thrown and glazed by a family pottery outside Vilnius. Vases, mugs and carafes in three matte glazes, each one slightly different.

Oak & ash
FSC-certified timber joined and oiled by hand in a two-bench workshop in Jutland. Furniture built to be re-oiled, not replaced.
Studio & workshop · Copenhagen
Six workshops. One standard.
We commission, we do not outsource to the lowest bid. Every workshop is visited twice a year, audited on pay and safety, and paid on 30-day terms — no consignment, no chargebacks.
Sold in 38 markets, delivered duty-paid
Direct online orders and wholesale shipments leave from Copenhagen and Long Beach. Duties and taxes are cleared before delivery in 34 of our 38 markets.
Two fulfilment centres
EU orders ship from Copenhagen in 2–4 days; US and Asia-Pacific orders from Long Beach in 2–5. Wholesale ships on pallets, DDP, with a dedicated trade desk.

What people write about us
"The linen is the best we have handled at this price. Three washes in, it still looks like a first edition."The Slow Review · Materials, 2025
"Their repair programme should be the industry default, not the exception."Nordic Living · Sustainability, 2025
Notes from the studio

Notes from Guimarães: how a shuttle loom actually works
Two hundred picks a minute, and a warp that has not changed since 1974.

Why we keep spare parts for five years after a piece is retired
The economics of repair, and the spreadsheet that convinced us.

A quieter catalogue: thirty pieces, four additions in five years
